The terms wearable technology refers to electronic technology or computers that are incorporated into items of clothing and accessories which can comfortably be worn on the body.
What are the advantages of using wearable technologies in teaching/training?
1. Constant communication, you can send messages to your students via google glass, smart watches, or wristbands.
2. Many wearable technologies allow for recording of lectures or in class activities.
3. Many wearable technologies allow for learning through virtual reality, which can enhance the experience and engagement of students
4. Many wearable technologies will greatly benefit learners with disabilities or who speak different languages.
5. As education becomes more technology based, wearable technology allows for greater collaboration between teachers and learners or learners with other students.

Activity for Application:
At this point I do not see using wearable technology yet in a large scale in the high school classroom setting. However, I do think it is important for me to inform teachers of the new wearable technologies that exist so we can think ahead to how many of these may fit into our classrooms in the foreseeable future. For right now, I think I will simply share this video with teachers to learn about the latest and greatest in wearable technology in 2016.
